I spent a lovely afternoon painting secret garden in Plein Air during a workshop with Nancy Newcomb. I love the backlit birdhouse surrounded by iris, as well as the little red shed where my mind could enter in through the open door and see out the window. You can tell by the lilac trees and the big tree growing up and over the roof that the little building has been there for a long, long time and that this garden is well loved.
